“Try” is about seeing a clearer picture of who we are, who we’ve been, and who we are trying to become. With the space allowed within the shutdown, I, like many others turned inward. Started focusing on mental health amidst the influx of daily stressors and triggers. I began taking shadow work very seriously, as I’ve struggled a lot with my own patterns of self sabotage and needed to understand where this was all coming from.

This song is about transformation and continually striving to become a better person. Releasing this on my birthday and at the turn of the new year seemed appropriate. It’s a snapshot of my own journey as an artist and human, a summation of influences that has brought to where I am now. Thank you for listening and for you ongoing support.
